What this index covers

Sector is inferred from the company name, not asserted by the graph, so this axis is deliberately partial. It covers the 32,364 dossiers that classify with reasonable confidence across 26 sectors. The other 67,736 are left off for two reasons. Most of them — the large majority — land in a "Business Services" catch-all that carries no real signal, and publishing those as sector pages would mean page after page of unrelated companies filed together. A few dozen classify into sectors with too few dossiers to be worth a page of their own. Either way they are indexed in full on the A–Z axis, which covers all 100,100 dossiers.
