PT Indonesia Chemical Alumina or ICA was established on February 26, 2007. Our activities comprises of the processing and refinery of bauxite ore into alumina, trading and distribution of alumina products and other related activities. Our chemical grade alumina (CGA) plant is located in Tayan, Sanggau Regency, West Kalimantan. The Tayan CGA plant may process 850,000 wmt of washed bauxite ore per annum, resulting in nameplate annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of CGA. The plant employs Bayer process and is complemented with calcination facility to produce CGA products in the form of aluminium hydroxide and alumina. CGA production process starts from bauxite ore mining which is conducted by PT ANTAM Tbk’s (ANTAM) West Kalimantan Bauxite Mining Business Unit. ANTAM is our majority shareholder. Bauxite production originated from Tayan bauxite mine in West Kalimantan. The mined bauxite is fed for consumption at our Tayan CGA plant in Tayan, West Kalimantan.
