On Oct 9, 2019, PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero) or “INALUM” as the lead of MIND ID acquired PT Asahan Aluminium Alloys (AAA) in Kuala Tanjung to step ahead to the initiative. On May 22, 2020, PT Indonesia Aluminium Alloy (IAA) was established as the subsidiary of INALUM with shareholding of 99.9999% owned by INALUM & 0.1111% by KOKALUM. The establishment is to operate the existing plant and drive aggressive aluminium production growth by entering secondary aluminium industry. IAA is designed to produce secondary aluminium billet with the full casting capacity of 50,000 ton per annum. The COD of IAA will be on Q4 of 2022 by launching the series of 6 inches Secondary Aluminium Billet that will distribute to along domestic and global market.
