Since its founding, it has grown to become the world's largest LNG importer and it currently employs around 4000 employees world wide. In keeping with this mission, KOGAS currently operates three LNG terminals and a nationwide pipeline network spanning over 3,022km in order to ensure stable supply for the nation. KOGAS Prelude is a wholly-owned subsidiary of KOGAS and is engaged in the development of Prelude floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) project. The Prelude FLNG facility is an offshore development that produces natural gas from a remote field approximately 475km north-north east of Broome in Western Australia. It prepares natural gas for export by turning it into liquid, which makes it easier to transport to customers overseas.
